Indiana Jones vs. Han Solo
Harrison Ford may be one of the luckiest guys in the world when it comes to playing really cool characters. There aren't too many men in Hollywood who can say that they have had multiple "iconic" characters to which they are identified with. Indiana Jones and Han Solo are two very different characters of which begs the questions: "Who's better"?
Indiana Jones
Lets first state the obvious here. Indiana Jones is the name of the whole franchise. No Indiana, No movie, it's as simple as that. The fedora wearing archaeology teacher has probably one of the coolest weapons in the world... A whip. Guns won't stop him, nor will a machette, nope as long as Indiana has his whip he's ready to go.
In 2003 the American Film Institute ranked Mr. Jones as the 2nd greatest movie hero of all time. That means he's beating hero's like Superman, Batman and quite a few other HUGE super hero's.
Let's also not forget how incrediably smart he is as well. He's teaches archaeology for heaven sakes. He retrieved the Lost Ark, managed to escape the Temple of Doom, survived the Last Crusade and outlasted the Soviets in the Crystal Skull. Is that not manly enough for you? Oh and having Sean Connory as your sidekick isn't have bad either.
Indiana Jones is the man, and there aren't too many characters out there that can stand up to his manliness. He's the mans man with a whip and an extensive vocabulary.
Han Solo
Han Solo has a lot going for him. Everybody knows he's got the fastes spaceship in the Galaxy: Millennium Falcon. Plus who doesn't like having the title of "Reckless Mercenary". There aren't too many characters that can say that their first mate is a Wookiee named Chewbacca. That's style points right there when it comes to sidekicks.
When it comes to weapons, Han had a laser gun. Although it wasn't a litesaber, it sure was pretty cool the way he weilded that thing around and took care of business. Lets also not forget that he was the guy in charge of getting the Jedi around the galaxy. In doing so he got frozen by Jabba. How many people can claim to be frozen and live through it?
Solo has the added bonus of getting Princess Leia in the end. Now if that doesn't constitute a win, then I don't know what does.
